5 Days Kenya at a Glance Safari.

Embark on a 5-day Kenya Safari and experience the best of Kenya’s wildlife and landscapes. Witness the stunning savannahs of Masai Mara, the flamingos of Lake Nakuru, and the rare wildlife of Lake Naivasha. This safari adventure promises an unforgettable journey through Kenya’s natural wonders. 

This 5-day Kenya safari offers an excellent opportunity to experience the best of Kenya’s wildlife and landscapes. The first stop will be at the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, which is known for its stunning savannahs and diverse wildlife. Here, you will witness the great wildebeest migration and see some of the largest herds of elephants, buffalos, and giraffes in Africa. Next, you will visit Lake Nakuru National Park, where you can witness thousands of flamingos and other bird species. You will also have a chance to spot the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, rhinos, and other wildlife. Finally, you will visit Lake Naivasha, which is famous for its rare wildlife, including hippos, zebras, and giraffes. The area is also known for its scenic beauty, with stunning views of Mount Longonot and the surrounding landscape. Overall, this 5-day Kenya safari promises an unforgettable experience that combines the best of Kenya’s wildlife and landscapes.

Day 1: Drive to Masai Mara.

Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel, place of residence, or airport in Nairobi and proceed to Masai Mara. This drive will take about 5 to 6.5 hours with a scenic stopover at Great Rift Valley. Arrive in Masai Mara shortly after noon and check into your lodge/camp, have hot lunch, and then depart for an afternoon game drive. After the game drive, we head back to the lodge/camp to reach by around 5:30 or 6:00 PM, freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared Dinner.

Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara.

Wake up Call at around 0530hrs with a cup of coffee/tea or hot chocolate. Meet your guide at around 0615hrs for an early morning game drive with a picnic breakfast. Explore deep into the Masai Mara looking for a lot of wildlife activities, such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards walking, playing, or hunting. These cats are very active early in the morning and late in the afternoon. At around 0900hrs, you will stop at a beautiful private spot where our guide will serve you breakfast. After picnic breakfast, continue with your safari until around 1130hrs where you will get to visit the local tribespeople, the famous Maasai. A cultural visit to Maasai Village is important if you want to learn a lot about their culture and their co-existence with wildlife. At around 1300hrs, you will return to your camp for lunch as you get to enjoy the open views of the plains of the Mara. Your next game drive will begin at around 1530hrs before returning to your camp for evening special moments and dinner at around 1900hrs.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru.

Wake up early in the morning and have a short morning game drive in Masai Mara. Return to Camp/Lodge for Breakfast and around 10:00 AM checkout and Depart to Lake Nakuru National Park which is about 6.5 hours drive. Upon reaching Nakuru Lodge check-in, have dinner and relax for the day.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha.

After breakfast, begin your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park for an exciting game drive, where you can witness a fantastic array of bird life. The park is home to thousands of flamingos, white pelicans, and marabou storks, which are all water birds that breed in the lake’s alkaline waters. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, which has five horns instead of the usual three, and clear instead of spotted shanks. You may also spot a white rhino during your game drive. For breathtaking views of the lake below, make sure to visit the baboon cliff, which is surrounded by a vast tract of euphorbia and acacia forest. Additionally, Makalia Falls, located within the park, is a must-see attraction. After lunch, continue your journey to Lake Naivasha, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night at the lodge. This serene lake is famous for its rare wildlife, such as hippos, zebras, and giraffes.

Day 5: Departure.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast, then embark on an exciting excursion by boat to the Crescent Island Private Game Sanctuary. Here, you can walk among small herds of plain game and witness them up close in their natural habitat. After your visit to the sanctuary, head back to Naivasha for a delightful lunch before your departure to Nairobi. You can expect to arrive in Nairobi in the evening before transferring to your hotel or JKIA Airport for your homebound flight.
