Our 9-day Kenya Classic Safari takes you on an incredible journey through three of Kenya’s most magnificent game reserves: Samburu, Lewa, and Masai Mara. In Samburu, you’ll witness the rare Grevy’s zebras, beisa oryx, reticulated giraffes, and other unique wildlife species found only in this region. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn about the local culture and traditions of the Samburu people. At Lewa, you’ll experience the majesty of elephants, lions, and black and white rhinos, as well as breathtaking views of Mount Kenya. In Masai Mara, you’ll witness the awe-inspiring wildebeest migration and see the Big Five – lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. You’ll stay in luxurious lodges and tented camps throughout the safari, where you can relax and take in the stunning landscapes of the African wilderness. Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi.
On arrival at the airport, you will be met and briefed by our representative who’ll then transfer you to your hotel where you are booked on bed and breakfast check-in and overnight stay.

Day 2: Samburu.
Depart from Nairobi at 0700 hrs. and drive north of Nairobi covering a distance of approximately 310 km. This shall be a scenic journey through the tea, Coffee & sisal plantations. There will be an en-route stopover to view Mount Kenya with its Snow-capped peaks. Your drive shall proceed passed the equator crossing to the semi-arid county of Samburu. Embark on your first game drive en route to Elephant Bedroom tented camp for check-in and Lunch. Another game drive is scheduled in the afternoon before dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Samburu.
Today you will have your full day exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. Look out for the Samburu’s special “Big Five” – rare sightings of Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Grévy’s zebra, Masai Ostrich, and Reticulated Giraffe (Somali giraffe).

Day 4: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.
After breakfast at your lodge, depart Samburu for the two-hour drive to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy where you’ll be staying at Lewa Safari Camp. Settle into your elegant safari tent, then relax beside the swimming pool that overlooks a wildlife-filled wetland. In the late afternoon, head out on an evening game drive, accompanied by sundowners and magnificent views.

Day 5: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.
Embark on a morning and afternoon game drive through the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in search of the “Big Five” and the exceptional birdlife that congregates around the swamp. Stop in at the rhino sanctuary to get up close to their hand-reared rhino.

Day 6: Masai Mara.
This morning enjoys an optional early game drive then return to the camp for breakfast. Checkout and transfer to Lewa Dons Airstrip for your scheduled flight to the world-famous Masai Mara. On arrival at the airstrip, you are met by your guide and game drive en route to Sand River Masai Mara Camp for check-in and lunch. Spend three nights at Sand River Masai Mara Camp.

Day 7: Masai Mara.
Wake Up Call at 0530hrs with coffee/tea or hot chocolate and head out on safari exploring different beautiful parts of the Mara with a picnic breakfast in the swamps or one of the rivers in the Mara. You will spend your day looking for what you have not spotted yet. This safari will be a bit longer and you will head back to the camp for lunch at around 1330hrs or 1400hrs for lunch. After lunch, enjoy your walking safari and later the beautiful sunsets from your camp. Spend the rest of your evening at the camp together with your host or guides as they share all the bush moments while planning for your next-day activities.

Day 8: Masai Mara.
On this day you will have a morning game drive where you will drive across the plains in search of the big five and other wild animals before returning to the lodge for breakfast. The remainder part of the morning is spent enjoying the lodge or camp facilities. After enjoying your lunch, proceed for your afternoon game drive at round 1600hrs. Finally, your last dinner at Masai Mara will be served under African Stars (If the weather permits). It will be a special moment to cherish.

Day 9: Departure.
Breakfast at the Camp. Thereafter, enjoy your morning at leisure as well as lunch at the lodge before boarding your afternoon flight to Nairobi where on arrival you’ll be met and transferred to the Sankara Hotel for your use of the room to freshen up before transferring to the Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your homebound flight.
