This 10-day safari adventure takes you through some of Kenya’s most stunning wildlife reserves with our Aberdare, Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Nakuru, and Masai Mara package. This itinerary is the perfect opportunity to witness some of Africa’s most breathtaking wildlife and landscapes. Explore the rugged Aberdare Mountains, home to rare and endangered species such as the Bongo Antelope, before moving on to Samburu where you will encounter the “Samburu Special Five” – the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Beisa Oryx, and the Gerenuk. Experience the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and its resident chimpanzee sanctuary, as well as the chance to see the last two remaining Northern White Rhinos on the planet. Take in the stunning views of Lake Nakuru, a soda lake that attracts vast numbers of pink flamingos, and spot some of the park’s resident black and white rhinos. Finally, the tour culminates in the iconic Masai Mara, where you will witness the annual wildebeest migration, the Big Five, and much more. Our knowledgeable guides will ensure you have a memorable experience while staying in comfortable accommodations throughout the tour. 

Day 1: Aberdare.

Pick up from your hotel at 0800 hrs and start your safari with a drive to the Aberdare National Park, arriving at Aberdare Country Club for lunch. Later in the afternoon transfer to The Ark Tree Lodge where you will spend your evening observing wildlife as the animals come to the nearby saltlick and waterhole.

Day 2: Samburu. 

After breakfast depart for Samburu pass through hush farmlands, and cross the Equator where you can stop for pictures. Proceed to Samburu a rugged semi-desert region. Samburu is popularly known for its unusual reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Oryx, and many more. Lunch at a lodge followed by afternoon game drives.

Day 3: Samburu.

Full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drive. (Optional visit to Samburu villages). Meals and overnight Samburu Ashnil Lodge The highlights of Samburu game reserve are the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers, and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopards, hippos, elephants, lions, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebra, and crocodiles in the Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries

Day 4: Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Breakfast then view the game as we exit the park and drive to Mount Kenya Region. Lunch at a Sweetwater’s tented camp then proceed for afternoon game drives at Sweetwater’s sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at the Sweet Waters Tented camp Sweetwater’s is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area

Day 5: Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Breakfast then view the game as we exit the park and drive to Mount Kenya Region. Lunch at a Sweetwater’s tented camp then proceed for afternoon game drives at Sweetwater’s sanctuary. Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park.

Breakfast then depart the lodge for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in good time for lunch at Flamingo Hill Tented Lodge. Afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at the lodge Lake Nakuru’s claim to fame is anchored on its flamingos and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance, the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo, and baboons are all residents here.

Day 7: Masai Mara.

Breakfast then view the game as we exit the park and drive via the Great Rift Valley to arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch at Mara Ashnil Tented Lodge. Afternoon game drive till dusk when we return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Masai Mara.

Wake up Call at around 0530hrs with a cup of coffee/tea or hot chocolate. Meet your guide at around 0615hrs for an early morning game drive with a picnic breakfast. Explore deep into the Masai Mara looking for a lot of wildlife activities, such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards walking, playing, or hunting. These cats are very active early in the morning and late in the afternoon. At around 0900hrs, you will stop at a beautiful private spot where our guide will serve you breakfast. After picnic breakfast, continue with your safari until around 1130hrs where you will get to visit the local tribespeople, the famous Maasai. A cultural visit to Maasai Village is important if you want to learn a lot about their culture and their co-existence with wildlife. At around 1300hrs, you will return to your camp for lunch as you get to enjoy the open views of the plains of the Mara. Your next game drive will begin at around 1530hrs before returning to your camp for evening special moments and dinner at around 1900hrs.

Day 9: Masai Mara.

Wake Up Call at 0530hrs with coffee/tea or hot chocolate and head out on safari exploring different beautiful parts of the Mara with a picnic breakfast in the swamps or one of the rivers in the Mara. You will spend your day looking for what you have not spotted yet. This safari will be a bit longer and you will head back to the camp for lunch at around 1330hrs or 1400hrs for lunch. After lunch, enjoy your walking safari and later the beautiful sunsets from your camp. Spend the rest of your evening at the camp together with your host or guides as they share all the bush moments while planning for your next-day activities.

Day 10: Departure.

On the last day, you will have an early morning game drive after breakfast check out, and depart for Nairobi. On arrival drop off at the airport or reserved hotel.
